As these are military spec rations they are only ever printed with a best before date of 3 years, and although some may be close to or just past this BBE date, they are designed to last over 20 years. This makes them an ideal addition to your home survival supplies.

As the previous person said a bit on the small side at 25g (1oz in old money) but they taste superb. A good dollop of slow release carbs. I will be ordering more once I get through this batch.
Tasty concentrated fruity goodness.
These bars are quite small at 25g but very dense and full of fruity goodness. They are about 80% date with 9% banana from concentrate and a bit of palm oil and stabilisers so almost all fruit. The wrapper is sturdy and the bars I received had a couple of years+ of shelf life and I think can last a lot longer in a pinch. The bars themselves are chewy with a very dense consistency with just a bit of that date grittiness, very pleasant and feel like a lot of energy for a small item. The flavour is mostly date with a hint of banana and I was pleased to find got nicer after finishing the bar with no odd aftertaste. They are a nice treat in or out of a pressure situation and at the price you can't go wrong. Unless you don't like dates. Or bananas.
